Robert Lopez has mastered the craft of portraiture. At first glance, his portraits are mistaken to be photographs. Examining it up more closely, the works will turn out to be amazingly photo-realistic work of arts only a real talented artist like him is capable of producing such.
For the past twenty years, Robert Lopez mastered and developed techniques that he applied to all of his works. In the span of his career as an artist, he has done around 10,000 charcoal portraits.
He has also been making colored portraits using Oil as well as Acrylics (airbrush). He mastered and developed his techniques in airbrush and rendered them in portraiture resulting to a super photo-realistic portrait. All of his airbrush artworks are being done freehand - no masking or stenciling.
Robert Lopez is also an educator of art, teaching the techniques he pioneered to his students. He is also a promoter of art in the field of portraiture. He is considered one of the rare gems in the field of portraiture here in Asia.
